Dr. Jon Wada
After undergraduate studies at U.C.L.A. in Microbiology, Dr. Wada received his graduate degree from the U.C. Berkeley School of Optometry. He completed the Residency program in Vision Rehabilitation at the Palo Alto Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Dr. Wada also serves as Staff Optometrist at the San Jose V.A. Clinic, where he provides clinical instruction and supervision for rotating Optometry Externs. He is an Adjunct Clinical Faculty Member for the Southern California College of Optometry. He is a former Vision Consultant with Los Angeles Unified School District and Low Vision Optometrist for the Vista Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Santa Cruz and Palo Alto. He is an active member of the Santa Clara County Optometric Society, California Optometric Association, and American Optometric Association. Dr. Wada enjoys fly fishing in the Sierras. With his wife, Sharon, he loves attending the Volleyball and Soccer games of their three sons, Matthew, Michael and Timmy. |
Dr. Debbi Fan
Dr. Fan graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cell Biology. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry with honors, Beta Sigma Kappa. Dr. Fan went on to complete a residency program, specializing in Primary Care Optometry and Low Vision, at the Palo Alto Veterans Affairs Hospital, where she now continually serves as an adjunct staff optometrist, instructing optometry residents and students.
She is actively involved in several optometric organizations, including the California Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry, and American Optometric Association. Dr. Fan has traveled to Costa Rica with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, where she provided eye exams and glasses to communities in need of healthcare. She currently volunteers at the Arbor Free Clinic, providing eye care to underserved populations in the South Bay. Dr. Fan enjoys hiking, jogging, baking, and experimenting with recipes. |
